Hi Parents!! Some of you have asked me how you can leave us a comment. We would love to hear from you because we will be checking our blog in the computer lab twice a week!! Here is the easiest way I know on how you can leave a comment for us...
Read the posting you wish to comment on. Directly under each post that I make... there is a little pencil with the word "comments". It may say 0 comments or 1 comment, etc. Click on that spot. A box will come up for you to type in. If you do not have an account... just choose to comment as 'anonymous.' This will allow you to comment. What I ask that you do is type your note to us in the box and then sign your name. If you put your name right in that box with the message... we will know who the comment is from even though you are 'anonymous.' You will then publish your comment. The site will send it to me first for approval...so you will not see it on the page instantly. Let me know if you have any trouble with this!!
Thanks so much for your interest!!

You all look like you are involed in all sorts of fun activities. Hey, I gave my students a little observation quiz and some of them forgot the answers to the following questions. Could you answer these?
1. What color is the top stripe on the American flag?
2. How many curves (bends) in a regular paper clip?
3. Sleepy, Happy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey, and Doc. Can you name the seventh dwarf?
4. On a standard traffic light, is the green on the top or the bottom?
5. Does the writing on a pen or pencil run from point to eraser or eraser to point?
Let me know what you think!
Love you Larissa,

Ohhh. . . You are all so smart! These were stumping the college students and you got three correct!
1. It is red! Do you know how many stripes (red and white) are on the flag?
2. There are three curves. . .way to go Miss Bennett! There are two curves on the bottom (one for each side of the paper) and one curve on the top.
3. It is Bashful; although it was interesting, more boys got that right in my classes than the girls! :)
4. The green light is on the bottom. It goes red on top, yellow in the middle, and green on the bottom. (It is very helpful to know when the cars stop so that we can safely cross the street!)
5. The last one is tricky. The writing on a pencil or pen typically runs from the point to the eraser--favoring those who write with their right hands. In our country we read from the left to the right.
How many of you like to write or color with your left hands?
Let me know if you'd like some more!
Keep thinking,
Dr. Riede
Love you Larissa!
