"The Williamsport Area School District would like to provide you with information about a concern that has come to our attention. It has been reported that a white male in a white panel van attempted to lure a middle school student into his vehicle on Tuesday afternoon in the Dewey Avenue area. Old Lycoming Township Police have investigated this report and believe there isenough evidence to advise parents to be alert and to caution their children to avoid strangers offering a ride or attempting to come into contact with thechildren. Suspicious activity should be reported to your local police department or the Pennsylvania State police."
